Small thing. Look, I get that the pool belongs to everyone. But it belongs to everyone, not just kids. And when two kids take over the entire deep end, jumping in at all the different spots and no matter how we move always end up splashing us, that seems a little rude. Yes, kids are kids. I more blame the guardians who weren't controlling them at all. They were the only two kids in the pool. Couldn't they pick a spot and stick to it?

Eh, pools are overrated anyway. If I wanted to swim in someone else's piss, I'd build a giant toilet.

You are probably right. I just really love swimming. I've loved it since I was a little kid. I prefer the ocean, but I'll take a pool if that is my only option. I just don't appreciate being nearly jumped on by random kids while I'm trying to swim.

Was this a party or a public pool...?

Either way, yes, it gets annoying, especially at a public pool. I even hated it as a kid, because I actually liked swimming, not just diving in and out and throwing things around.

Subdivision pool. And the thing is, we kept moving over. The kids kept running around the entire pool and jumping in at random bits. There was no way to escape them. Pretty young kids too. The one kid was using floaties for a while and then took them off. I was scared he might actually drown if his guardian missed catching him on one of the jumps.

AYRT - Yeah, so was the one I was thinking of (a subdivision pool.) Same problem.

Hell, sometimes I saw the parents laughing. It drove me nuts.

I hate that. Somehow even more because when I was a kid, I actually enjoyed swimming laps but the lifeguards would always shoo me out of the lanes if adult swimmers showed up because technically kids weren't allowed in the deep end.
