Crystalwank. It was the kind of harmless, guilt-free hilarity (because nobody got hurt, unlike in FF7 House or Victoria Bitter) that we just don't see take over the internet anymore.

Crystal Gamgee and her magical Photoshop "fan art." The wank broke the comment limit on Journalfen, and the programmers lifted the comment cap because it was just too goddamn funny to put the kibosh on.
