What kind of job do you want? If you just need to make money, retail is always hiring. If you're personable and live near a city, you might consider waiting tables or tending bar. You'll make better money tending bar, but it requires that you actually know how to bartend. If you live in the middle of nowhere, avoid jobs that depend heavily on tips.

If you're looking for something specific and you have a college degree, your school probably has a career center that will help you with things like writing a resume and prepping for interviews, at minimum. A lot of them will also help with the actual job search and point you in the direction of internships, job fairs, etc.
