If you think about it, it's really amazing how Booster and Ted's roles have switched over the years and no one seems to have really noticed.

Both were money hungry zany goofballs coming up with wacky schemes but no one remembers Booster started as the Straight Man of the duo throughout early JLI while Ted was the one being a nut job with stupid ideas about starting a casino/resort and stealing Max's money.

Then Superbuddies happened (by the same writers!!!) and then the roles got reversed and from that point on it was Ted the straight man and Booster the famewhore idiot. 52 and his solo series fixed it... Sorta. But its just so jarring when reading the old stuff.

And in relation to the secret: I dread the blue and gold movie because I want it to be good but I fear nothing will be because Snyder and blue and gold are very near and dear and close to my heart.
lb_lee: The Blue Beetle, Ted Kord, doubled over laughing. (bwa-hah-ha)

I know, right? I feel like Superbuddies is good if you want to be introduced to the characters (it was my break-in point for JLI) but when you come back to it after a while, it's definitely... kiiiiinda weird.

Booster Gold and Ted Kord have a special place in my heart too, since they helped me deal with being gay, heh.
