I wasn't impressed with how it was handled, mostly because I didn't feel proper buildup for anything, but what annoyed me the most was that both he AND Tonks were killed off that way, just to make another orphan. It felt like JK making sure to off the entire previous generation, and I didn't appreciate it. Though after Sirus, I was already a little bit inured.

Like, legit, it was a war. Senseless, pointless deaths happen.

That's literally how war works.

I'm not surprised by the body count. I'm honestly surprised there wasn't more death than there was.
