Well, Sorkin leaves at the end of season 4. That said, the thing that happens at the end of that season makes it really hard to stop watching, so I usually continue. Gradually the sinking feeling that says these are not my people begins, and by the end of season 5 I'm cursing high heavens.

I was afraid of that. I'll probably end up watching the whole thing and cursing myself the whole way to the end. lol
