Should I dip into my savings to finish a costume for SDCC? It wouldn't be that much and I really want to finish it, but I'd have to order supplies today to make sure of finishing by the con. I'll have more money in very soon and can repair the damage and then some--I don't have a credit card, so I raid savings instead, but usually for more important stuff than this. ... It feels important to me, though. I want to be proud of this one.

I say go for it, as long as you can make it up soon. You likely have already invested quite a bit of time and money in the project, right? Might as well have something to show for it!
