Re: Most "problematic" fandom you've ever been in

MLP. You've got:

* The people who're way too into lesbians and jumped on a show full of female characters
* The MRAs crying misandry over anything and everything involving Spike
* The classic fantasy fans who love monarchy and think the strong should dominate the weak
* The military SF folks constantly getting into who-would-win with MLP vs. military SF settings, dragging in all kinds of militarism and glorification of violence
* /b/tards tossing around casual racism and sexism
* The misanthropes who love writing about a species that's "better" than humans
* The super-religious folks who constantly start shit with the lesbian shippers
* The pedos who think it doesn't count and shouldn't be shocking because it's not human
* Scary Discord fans who play up his villainy, woobify him, and make the other characters out to be bad guys all at the same time (thankfully extinct after Discord got redeemed)
* The self-proclaimed feminists who go way too far trying to drive everyone else out of the fandom

I can't think of a kind of wank that fandom hasn't had.

Is it weird that out of that entire list, THIS was the one that had me cocking an eyebrow and going, "Bwuh...?"

Seriously, though, that's...quite an interesting mix of people in that fandom. Wow.
