Ended up in urgent care. Twice. I told them I needed more prendizone for the hives and sure enough, they came back as soon as I ran out! Frustrating because copays and cause every time I get hives it's treated the same way, but new doctor in new location had his own WRONG idea how on to treat it and i'm the one itchy, not him.

Blergh.

Prednisone is not fun. Not fun at all. It's also not great for long term use (increases the risk of osteoporosis among other things). Are you seeing an allergist? If not, you may want to consider it so you can look at other options and maybe not have to pay for ER visits so often.

It works really well on me though. I do need to start seeing an allergist again though. Though now that i"ve moved close to where I used to live I could go start seeing my old allergist who I trust again, so that'll be good.
