Well, I've been sick with some sort of head virus that involved a fever. So I spent most of the weekend in long sleeves and long pants buried under a pile of blankets. Mostly sleeping, watching a bit of movies (Mummy 1 and 2). But I did get a couple job applications off.

I tried making that Lemon Magic Cake. It tastes good (though I'd add a bit more lemon juice next time. I only for two really defined layers though. Not sure what I did wrong (cooked too long maybe). The top is like cake and the bottom is like a custard. Pretty delicious.



I also played some Pokemon Go and caught a Venosaur!

Well there has been the usual deluge of shit from the outside world, so I decided to go all in on watching The Lion King and Hakuna Matata-ing it all. Fuck the outside world, its on its own.

Slept mostly. Attempted to heal.

Almost up to eating solid foods again so I'll consider it a win.

I wasn't able to go on a walk for Pokemon yesterday since the servers went down but today I managed to find a Jigglypuff, a Drowsy, a Pidgey and a Spearow. Also visited my closest Pokestop to see how they worked.

I also had a go at playing Wildstar since it went FTP a while back and I had more fun playing it than I thought I would, the combat is pretty neat and their mogging system is awesome(once I figured out where it was).

Ended up in urgent care. Twice. I told them I needed more prendizone for the hives and sure enough, they came back as soon as I ran out! Frustrating because copays and cause every time I get hives it's treated the same way, but new doctor in new location had his own WRONG idea how on to treat it and i'm the one itchy, not him.

Had a headache yesterday and mostly lazed around. No headache today, still mostly lazing around.

Furniture was delivered after an adventure yesterday (uh they couldn't get it through my main door so we had to bring it up through the balcony on the second floor.) Put together another storage unit.

Today I worked and it was way too hot out but I got paid so that's a bonus.

Had to work yesterday to train someone (co-worker had a doctor's appointment so she couldn't work), but at least it was one of the smart/good ones so it was pretty unstressful.

Went to Costco this morning and got some groceries and cleaning stuff. Nearly ran over half a dozen kids. Seriously people. It's a weekend and the store is insanely busy. Please do not let your children run willy nilly back and forth across the aisles!

Still in mine, but not bad. Lawn guys came and cut the jungle, and then while I was out raking up all the cut grass, I somehow got poison ivy. On my *face*.

It's not summer until you're bumpy and itchy. *sigh*

Otherwise...lots of naps and Star Trek (TOS) on Netflix.

I wanted to go watch Ghostbusters this weekend but ended up not, so that was disappointing. However I played a ton of Pokemon Go, hatched a Pikachu, and named some of my pokemon really dumb names. Also, started setting up my studio and rearranging my bedroom.

I had hoped to get shit done. That did not happen. Instead I've been a lazy bum, sleeping well into the afternoon and faffing about online.

I just got home after being with my grandmother since Tuesday and I'm just exhausted and sporting a massive headache.

It's hard watching over a 80+ year old woman who has hearing issues, memory issues and doesn't want to realise that it is perfectly fine to be tired when she had a heart surgery little over a week ago. I really love my grandmother, but honestly, it's getting so tiresome to be with her more than a day or so at the time. I'll have to try to visit hit her at least once during the coming week though.

The only positive thing (other than that my grandmother is in somewhat good shape after her surgery and is staying around for a while more) about this weekend has really been that my gran has a bathtub, so I got to take a bath for the first time in ages which was really nice.

Someone left a huge, dead newt in my grooming kit at the barn, which I found yesterday. Then I found out that my friend is moving her two horses to another barn, even though she's the one who insisted we all move to this barn we're at now. More importantly, one of her horses, Butch, is my horse Sharif's best (and only) friend. They've been attached at the hip for ages and haven't been apart for a single day in years. They both get upset if the other gets too far away. To top it off, they're both old (Butch more-so than Sharif) and were only able to handle the last move so well because they had each other. I really don't know what Sharif is going to be like without his buddy.

So, yeah. That's my weekend in a nutshell.

Celebrated my 30th birthday, slept, wanted to go get Prismacolors but the store closed early, thought about ordering pizza but did the adult thing and ate Ramen instead.

Saturday was okay , went to Crabtree. But it went kinda downhill as I had as I had a coffee when I was low on meds (insurance stopped covering my pharmacy. :<), and breakdown city.

Today I went to Cary Town Center, where I used to go all the time when we lived there. And like...half the stores I care about are gone or closed. What a letdown.

Nice - got some work done, scheduled a thing I've been putting off, went to the beach with my fiancee, ate some good quesadillas and some delicious frozen custard. Only bad part was I got stung by something on the sole of my foot and it's still swollen and sore.

Having Dad's car around is useful, but Dad can get annoying very quickly. So can his driving.
