I agree about self righteous characters. I can't stand them. I hated Sara too, and it was almost always where she was so sure she was right and arguing everyone else down.

That was one of my big problems with CSI Miami. Calleigh and Delko both became so self righteous, and worse, the narrative always supported them. The whole team had their moments but those two were the worst. I absolutely hated it.

I think a lot of procedurals fall into this trap, but there are usually one or two characters who stand out in particular.
