I've never seen this, I only ever see people use identify or relate. Hell I'm still not 100% on what a fictionkin is.

I don't know if it's the way it's meant, but I look at it from a postmodern angle of multiple realities where they're simultaneously themselves and whatever fictional character they're 'kin of. Not that I take it seriously but I find it interesting to think about.

I'd never heard of this and it's both utterly fascinating and terrifying. What the shit.

(... And reading this is hitting far too close to home because I knew someone like this, not to that level of batshit(at least not with me) but it's bringing back memories I'd rather forget).

They were definitely an example of the worst. I am probably lucky that I have been friends with two soulbonders (the old name for fictionkin), one of whom was in their 30s when I met them and had a sensible mindset, for someone whose head was shared by half a dozen Elves (all but two were Tolkien). The other was a friend who may have had a mild case of DID, but despite that and having mild Aspergers, she was also reasonably sensible.
