Re-reading Tolkien's Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle Earth. It's a collection of a ton of notes and essays and half-finished stories and summaries, the content is really incredible on its own even if it is kind of a pain to get through, but Christopher Tolkien's increasingly bewildered "I'm sorry but I honestly have no fucking idea what dad was going for here or which of these three versions he preferred don't judge me" annotations go a long way too.

And seriously every single time I re-read "The History of Galadriel and Celeborn" I fall in love with Galadriel and Elrond even harder than I already have, which I thought was impossible.
