I grew up with Shatner!Kirk & I love him so much. I think Chris Pine does an amazing job too. I prefer Shatner because of nostalgia I think, but I'm certainly not going to fight anyone over it.

Yeah, I know Shatner has done douchey things, but I also find myself admiring him just because he seems to know his reputation and own it. Same reason I like Arch Hall Jr., really.

although despite being a huge fan of star trek growing up, i only went back a few years ago to re-watch TOS and realized how much I liked him.
