Re: Silmarillion Ships
I only mildly ship Maedhros/Fingon in a "It happened in the past but one is dead and/or in Valinor now" way.
Celebrimbor/Durin III is probably a big background ship for me, but it comes with problems involving them not actually being destined soulmates and Durin's dwarven partner not trusting Celebrimbor.
Boromir/Kíli originated from a fanfic and continued in RP. Can I also mention that in both fic and RP Kíli is Durin VII? Because it means he also has something of a past history with Celebrimbor (who isn't dead).
There's few canon ships I like in a passive way (that is to say, if they get mentioned, I want them together), like Faramir/Eowyn, and Aragorn/Arwen. I think the latter has more of point for me because back in my early LotR days I shipped Aragorn with Boromir, and then later Legolas.
