We couldn't even get two comments in before Buzzkillington showed up to throw his wet blanket over everything. Jesus fucked by a cactus, pal, not everything has to be super serious. Go ask Case to delete this, please. Then create your own thread.

Trump isn't fucking funny

Yeah, he kinda is. And from a non-American point of view, he isn't a 100% bad thing either. A less powerful America, which his presidency will almost certainly lead to:- even temporarily, is something a lot of other countries will benefit from. Not all of those countries are "baddie" countries either.

A less interventionist America, anyway, which I agree is a good thing.

A less capable of intervening America, one with less of a powerbase or an ability to overwhelm others. America is too powerful and there is no balance any more, that is leading on a dangerous path to tyranny. A Trump presidency with all the internal divisions it would bring would be a good thing in allowing everyone else some much needed breathing space.

On the other hand, it would lead to material harm for a huge number of people in America, and probably around the world when President Trump decides carpet bombing is the appropriate response to every foreign policy problem.

This is at bottom accelerationist reasoning, and it's flawed for the reasons that accelerationist reasoning is always flawed: there's no guarantee that a President Trump would lead to the outcome you want, and he'd do an enormous amount of harm in the meantime.

I love how the left comes out with this apocalyptic, over-the-top nonsense, and then they blame Trump for his acceptance speech being too "dark."

He'll be no more a hawk to others than the other candidate, and for people in America then maybe it will do good to remind them what America has done to non-Americans. Maybe breed a bit of empathy, or spark a bloody internal revolution, either way NMP.

Darling, all we ever hear about is how terrible America is. Trust me, we get it.

Don't forget that often the thing to do when you've been really fucked over is to find a reason to blame your neighbors and take their stuff. Once North and South America become simply america, we'll probably start expanding out.

Russia is all commie again after all. We better go sort that. Then we better bomb the chinese before they can attack us (which they will), then we better take care of all the little fucks in between so travel isn't too hard.

Emminent domain isn't gone, it's just resting! Trump, even in failure, will remind us what our manifest destiny truly is: Not coast to coast, but 0' latitude to 0' latitude.

Harm to people in America is a non-issue if you don't live in America. We're not bound to cater to you guys.

What the hell is this kind of logic? Yes, you're not beholden to the fate of Americans, but you don't get to be pleased at the election of a foreign leader who will be actively harmful to his citizens without coming off as kind of a fucked up person.

I'm sure you'll believe that until Trump sends troops and/or nukes flying your way.

Trump is trollololarious, what are you talking about?

If you laughed once while watching this election, then you're doing it wrong.

*haven't laughed once

A laughable mistake!

I have to actually fucking live here, though. This is reality.
