I haven't seen the show in a long time. But I think I would've enjoyed seeing other trainers. Ash was not terribly likable (didn't hate him, but kinda meh) and there's way too much Pikachu in general. I enjoyed the Origins anime a lot more - it felt more mature in general.

I'm also disappointed int he lack of variety in Warcraft fics. Despite 10+ million players, the fandom output for Warcraft is disappointingly small.
