My mom doesn't know (and will NEVER know) that I got pregnant and had a miscarriage when I was nineteen.

If I told her, she would just grieve for the "grandchild she never knew," and there is literally no upside to telling her.

my sister also had an accidental pregnancy and a miscarriage at 19. i completely understand never telling your parents (my sister only told me and one of our brothers, and never intends to tell anybody else)
