I kind of think less of her now that I know she has one of these cats. When animals are voluntarily bred with crippled/deformed body parts for the ~cuteness factor~ it's animal abuse, plain and simple, and buying those pets supports this.

What kind of cat is it? It just looks like a normal cat to me...

It's a Scottish Fold. Look closer at the ears.

I don't support intentionally breeding for those traits, but I don't have a problem with people adopting animals who have already been born with them. I feel bad for bulldogs but I would take one home from the animal shelter.

Yeah, a shelter is one thing, but I kind of doubt that TS got her cat from a shelter? Considering that's a very popular and (ugh) fashionable breed atm...
Like, I wouldn't be right in people's faces when I don't know if it's a shelter animal, but if it turns out it isn't, I will judge the hell out of them.

Sorry, but I'm with the other nonny. It's highly unlikely a desirable breed like the Scottish Fold was in an animal shelter. Swift most likely paid a breeder big bucks for that cat and as an influential celebrity, appearing with it in public draped over her arm like an accessory will likely encourage people to buy more. She may not mean to, but her actions absolutely help those breeders.
