I know, right? What's with that? It acts like extroverts and introverts can't get along for more than five minutes!

Two completely different species yknow.

I hate those "guides for extroverts on how to be kind to introverts". Never one aboit introverts making accomodations for extroverts. Just infantilising both.

Yes! I'm an introvert (though I can fake pretty good), hubby's an extrovert. It's not really that hard for us to accomodate--he makes sure I rest after a lot of high-energy social stuff, I make sure he gets out sometimes when he's been having a rough go.

Yeah, which is ridiculous since one of the most extroverted friends I have is also one of the most anxious!

This bothers me a lot too. I lean more introverted and I have anxiety issues, but so does my SO, who is extroverted. My anxiety isn't somehow inherently worse because I'm introverted but most of the people who make a big deal about the extrovert/introvert make it sound so, including some of my friends... :/

Yup. Over the last few years I've come to the conclusion that I'm more extroverted than I thought when my social anxiety isn't getting in the way because I don't do well if I spend too much time alone without being with other people. That mix of extroversion and social anxiety seems to confuse people because of the shallow stereotypes about introverts and extroverts. Mostly I wish people would just let go of taking the whole thing so seriously though. I think about this because I like navel-gazing. It's got nothing to do with how I approach other people.

All introverts are agoraphobes and all extroverts are in constant manic states. Those are the only two types of people in this world
