Notebooks and journals. I go through them so quickly, I just buy the cheapass ones like you used in school.

(Sketchbooks, I'm a little pickier on.)

YES! You can never have too many notebooks. Walmart had a sale recently where you could buy 10 notebooks for $.17 each! (There was a 10 notebook limit.)

WHAAAAAT I AM JEALOUS.

Yeah, I've never understood the appeal of, say, Moleskines. They're so small, and so pricy, I'd blow through one in a month, while those school spirals can usually last me at least six, unless I'm REALLY burning rubber. I'm sure they work for others, but give me my shitty elementery school spirals any day of the week, even if the really old ones are coming apart a little.

For my travel journal, it's just the cheap college ruled wire bound notebook. I had the first one for 8 years before I ran out of pages and the current one is going on 7 years. This way when it's shoved around my backpacks/suitcases, I'm not worried about it.

Yup, that's the kind I use! Also conveniently allowed me to use up any spirals left over from school.

It started because I asked my dad to buy a pack of paper and he came back with a notebook for me to write my thoughts in.

I've just kept up with it over the years.

They're so versatile and fit everywhere.
