Phones. I don't want anything in my pocket that will make me cry or excessively bust my budget to replace. I got over my love of fountain pens for the same reason, although I'm told there's no much point in going over $120 unless you're into conspicuous consumption.

I think buying AAA games on release day is generally very foolish. It seems a large number ship with bugs, poor optimization, feature cuts, or problems with online play. I'd much rather wait a year and catch a good sale.
