I honestly cannot connect in any way with what you've brought up.

For one, Democrats and Hillary aren't saying "America is perfect". The point is that the country has good qualities and they are emphasizing the values that are supposed to symbolize the country in the face of bellicose rhetoric that acts like we're broken. There are bad things that are happening, but we can work together to fix them, because we do make positive change happen. I'm not sure what's hard to understand about that. It's inspirational "we can do it" talk in response to Trump's much more literal fearmongering.

And what it means when Hillary is called a "change-maker" - refers to her accomplishments. It sounds like you haven't researched all about her history in public service, and if you'd even listened to a few of the speeches they lay out pretty clearly why they call her that, whether you agree or not. I mean, too bad Hillary doesn't "inspire change in you" but have a look at her resume.

Sounds like you were too disillusioned with Democrats and Hillary in general to pay attention to any talk of platform goals and plans, which were all discussed.
