A lot of Trump supporters would be pretty comfortable with things turning out badly, because it would still mean that they've shown The Fucking Liberals.

I know a few Trump voters--some of them are coworkers who benefit or have relatives who benefit from government entitlement programs, but they'd rather see the "undeserving" have their benefits taken away and either suffer nobly to punish those nasty freeloaders, or complain that it's those nasty freeloaders' fault that their benefits got cut. One of them complains vociferously every time their SSI amount is reduced and blames it on "Obama is a Socialist!" Another came back from a Caribbean vacation complaining that "the natives weren't picturesque enough, they were so dirty," and says that Trump is "disgustingly vulgar, but at least he's not Hillary."

Ugh, yeah, I have relatives like that, too. Bitching about people mooching off the government while they're collecting their Social Security and Medicare, and I have a cousin who is constantly out of work and gaining unemployment checks while simultaneously complaining about the "moochers" who are taking free handouts from the government. I just want to shake them by the shoulders and be like, "DO YOU HEAR YOURSELVES?!"

I had an aunt who went to Hawaii a few years back and came back a little disappointed because the state "seemed so modern".
