Is Lestat going to visit the lost city of Atlantis? It is underwater so I bet there is no sunlight. Is this where vampires vacation?

Didn't he become kind of immune to sunlight or something? I remember him flying into the sunrise in Tale of a Body Thief and coming out of that experience slightly tanned. (Or maybe not, it was a long time ago...)

The only thing I remember from that book was that he thought eating was awesome and going to the bathroom sucked.

You are not remembering wrong. Just before the body switch the human tells Lestat he has to go to the bathroom and Lestat is excited about it because it's an experience he wanted in the one day of being human. Then he is actually crapping and que a long diatribe about how aweful and gag inducing it is.

Also, orange juice is the closest thing to blood flavor-wise? And he "accidentally" rapes a woman at her house - where there is a stinky litter box? I don't know why that detail was there - then gives her an emerald encrusted cross after regaining vampire-hood to apologize.

The only thing I remember from any of the books is the time Lestat (I think?) drank period blood.

WHY DID THAT HAVE TO BE THE THING I REMEMBER.

Well, if you're going to write 10,000 pages about the life and times of your rockstar vampire imaginary boyfriend, I guess that has to come up in conversation at least once.

It's been awhile since I read the books, but I was pretty sure that it wasn't just avoiding sunlight, but that Anne Rice vampires HAD to sleep during the day. Like they fell into a kind of coma, and had to find shelter before that happened so they didn't get caught in the light. So, I don't know that being underwater would matter.
