Perfume

Do you wear it? Do you like it? Hate it? What do you think of people who wear it? What are your favorite/least favorite scents?

Sometimes, yes.

I like vanilla, musk, Amber, sandalwoody things. For summer I now have lily of the valley which is pretty non-offensive as far as smell goes.

For fancy one, I'm pretty fond of the Paco Rabane ones.

Yves Saint Laurent make some nice ones. They're expensive, but the tiniest dab is enough and it lasts all day - I've found that the cheap ones wear off quickly.

Somewhat - I usually just stick to bodywashes and maybe something from Bath and Body Works.

I dislike a lot of more normal perfumes - they tend to smell very similar to me, and I get overloaded easily. I love a lot of the very basic scents, though: vanilla, rose, jasmine.
I will also go a long way for things that smell like spices - cloves, cinnamon, the warm, sweet spices.

I love perfume, and I feel naked when I'm not wearing any. Have an emergency bottle at work in case I leave the house in a hurry and forget.

I love heavy sweet notes in winter, fruity scents in spring and autumn, fresh and sporty scents in summer.

I'm conflicted. I don't wear it and I usually dislike it (very sensitive to smells).

But a few times in my life someone has walked by with an expensive smelling delicate scent and my whole body just lit up for it. So I think there's some untapped potential there.

Occasionally, yeah. I like it, as long as the smell is not too intense. Otherwise it bothers me and makes me scratch my nose way to often. Same for someoe else who is wearing it, i the fragrance is too intense it start bothering me and my nose.

I like flower-scented perfumes, but stuff that doesn't smell a lot like alcohol is really hard to come by.

I can't stand my coworkers who douse themselves in the cologne. It's way too much, save that for another day and not in the office where we don't get enough air circulation.

I have a really freakishly acute sense of smell. All perfume smells like people have bathed in potent chemicals to me. :(

I'm more of a strong deodorant kinda girl. But I have this rosy smelling perfume I love.

I like perfume but a lot of scents are my main migraine triggers so I rarely get to wear any/don't deal well around people who wear perfume. I like earthy and woody scents the most, and those are the ones that tend to give me the least headaches. Demeter has a lot of great, clean scents (my favourite are Amber, Rain and Thunderstorm. The latter two actually smell a lot like they sound.)
I really love the scent of flowers, especially jasmine and wisteria, but those are sadly some of the worst triggers for me.

I hate it. But then being severely allergic to something kinda puts you off it. If people wear it sparingly, I can deal with it. Though I've found working in a scent sensitive building has made my tolerance much lower.

But if I can smell you half way across the room (this goes for aftershave/scented products for men as well--axe deoderant? *gag*) or the smell lingers after you've walked through, you're wearing too much.

Also, if places like oh, schools and hospitals are scent sensitive, don't fucking wear perfume/scented products in those buildings (obviously, emergency cases in hospitals are an exception and not what I'm talking about).

People who do either of those things are as much assholes as people who blow smoke into the faces of non-smokers.

I love it, though I usually only wear it for special occasions. My fave is YSL Opium (I saved up to buy a bottle like six years ago and I still like it a lot) though recently I got a free sample of Illicit by Jimmy Choo and I really like that, I might get some when I have the money. There isn't a huge pattern in what I like I guess, not that I have recognized at least. I don't buy much, obviously.

I love 4711. It smells more like flower water than anything else, it's very delicate. Also the history behind this cologne is pretty fascinating:

I have a couple scents I like. DNKY be delicious, a mango body spray, and Chanel no. 5. I like subtle scents, especially fruity ones.

Sometimes. The longstanding favorite is Deep Red by Hugo Boss.

I love perfume. I collect it. I read perfume blogs. I go to the department stores to try all the new releases and have angst because I can't keep up with the niche and luxury brands. I have Opinions about perfume. It's like another fandom for me.

I like too many things to pin down. I don't dislike "red berries", but I'm tired of the mainstream perfume industry abusing them. They did the same thing with melon back in the 90's.

I like the smell of some perfumes. But, in my experience it seems 90% of people wear way to much of it.

The headaches that come from people dousing themselves in some scent and leaving clouds of it everywhere makes me despise it.

The vast majority of commercially available perfume smells like its propellant to me, Calyx by Clinique being a notable exception.

Zents (www.zents.com) have some wonderful fruit laced scents. They also have solid perfumes.

Goest Perfumes (goest.us) has this fragrance called Realism which is an unique green ozone-ish floral. Their Lartigue and Grand Tour are fun unisex scents.

Skeemshop (skeemdesign.com) has perfume in roll-on bottles. I like their Lilac Dandelion.

I used to like perfume when I was a kid. I don't wear it now though. I prefer scented body lotions.

I like reading perfum reviews and the bottles look so cool! Never found anything I wanted to wear myself though.

I guess it's not technically perfume but I am all about Bath & Body Works' body mists/sprays. I love that they have such a variety of fresh, fruity scents, because that's the type I always go for.

I wear a couple of spritzes every day if I have work that day; I draw the line at two spritzes, though, because that's plenty and I don't want to be one of those people who walks around with a cloud of scent hanging over them.

No. I hate perfume. It's always too strong, really sweet, and gives me a terrible fucking headache.

And MOST PEOPLE don't know how to NOT DOUSE THEMSELVES in that shit around here, so I end up hating it even more.

I have this mary kay pink macaroon perfume that my uncle's girlfriend gave me as an XMAS present and first I was pissed off because it's like, free sample sized? WHO GIVES THEIR FREE SAMPLES AS CHRISTMAS PRESENTS OH MY GOD. But then I used it and it smells really sweet and nice and refreshing so when I run out I may buy some from her.

I also love Haiku from Avon, and I have some vanilla stuff from bath and body works.
