Yeah, but Latin is always prized by the top universities and colleges and you can never underestimate snobbery.

I went to a fairly snobby school and I have to say the only situation they recommended Latin was if you wanted to either study other latin languages, or if you wanted to be a doctor (as the route words for many diseases and anatomy are based on latin).

Second class schools deal with education to learn a profession. First class schools prepare one to lead. I trust you see the difference.

Given that the political class in my country are rich inbred drug and STI riddled idiots, I'm pretty happy with my second class school education.

Latin is valued if you study science or law (!). Also, you know, history (and by extension, philosophy).
