The words aren't funny, the scene is. The whole forgetting the last word of a specific incantation, hiding it in a cough, and unleashing an army of the dead thing is where the funny comes in. I mean, I'm glad you get the reference, and it's cool that the movie it came from means a lot to you. But you might want to accept that odds are, most folks are likely to have seen Army of Darkness before The Day the Earth Stood Still. If they've seen the latter at all. I hope this doesn't sound condescending, because I sincerely don't intend it. I just don't think you should let this gripe rent space in your brain.
