My fun weekend plans are not happening. We did pick out a fridge but it won't be in for a week. My sister and bro-in-law are sick so we are babysitting my nephew. Can't fry donuts when a small child is around. And I was making the pizza for my sister. Hopefully they get better by tomorrow.

Duct tape the kid to the sofa, fry the donuts and then eat your pizza. Remember to untape the sprog after you finish.

Yeah. I never asked my sister if it was cool to post pictures of my nephew online.

She's okay with it! Thank god, I know my sister better than some anon on a forum. :D

On the plus side, my sewing machine doesn't need to be taken to the repair shop after all. I was getting ready to pack it up and go when I realized the loose end of a spool of thread had gotten caught on the spindle thing that comes out of the motor and is connected to the big wheel via a belt and drives the machine. The thread had gotten wrapped around so many times, it started keeping the motor from turning. I unwound it and now everything is fine! Yay!

On the down side, I was all set to shred some old bills and credit card offers and things and I got exactly one and a half sheets in when my shredder just stopped working mid-shset. The reverse setting did nothing. I took it apart (in a way you're not really meant to) and cleaned out as many paper bits as possible, thinking maybe it was clogged but it still wouldn't work. It turns on, but it doesn't feed paper and shred. I had "bought" it with credit card points and while that shredder is still listed on the rewards program website, it's out of stock. Now I need to go buy a shredder and I have no idea what a comparable one will cost.

So, a mixed experience so far today.

Today was the last weekend of sales here and I bought awesome shoes and a gorgeous dress. Also a T-shirt with a unicorn because.

Not much. Hoping to sort out my apartment as it looks like a hoarder's home right now. Also, binging on Ghost's music. I've got "Cirice" and "Absolution" stuck in my head all day.

I went to see Star Trek today and ate out afterwards. So it was a nice day out, also caught some more Pokémon while I was out too(got a Wartortle!).

Its been allright, went out to dinner and the mall, then hung out with parents today (ehhhhh) and now going out tonight.

All in all an average weekend.

Well, I have some chili simmering on the stove that should be ready in another 45 minutes or so. Meanwhile I am drinking cheap whiskey and the drama is extremely kicking off on Twitter.

Stupid Harry Potter

I had a bunch if stuff to do today and got kind of behind, so I was out until nine running some errands and having a frustrating time if it and nothing was working out. I wound up near a Barnes and Noble and thought I'd go close out the evening eating a piece of cheesecake and reading magazines in what is usually a fairly quiet and peaceful place on Saturday nights. It sounded like a great way to unwind and let go of the day's frustrations.

I walk in and there's some kind of Harry Potter midnight release party going on and the place is packed and noisy so I just went home. I'd be a lot grumpier right now if I hadn't just had a big glass of wine.

No seriously, my weekend has been: buy a frame. Go to a framing workshop. Mangle and manhandle $5 frame to get art in. Take said frame to the gallery I'll be showing in. LEARN TO FRAME LIKE ADULT YES. Help make show! Showshowshowshow.
