We currently have satellite TV. Not thinking of getting rid of that atm.

I do have a question. I often watch my network tv shows (ie, NBC, CBS, etc) via online streaming sites on my laptop, since I'm not always in the mood to watch it when it airs on network tv (I use a site that lists links to the sites that actually host the eps--like gorillavid or movpod, etc.) Can you do that with roku? It's not a deal breaker, I'm just curious.

I searched and there are channels available for NBC, ABC, etc. The blurb says that cable or satellite is required though to view them, which explains why my brother doesn't have those channels available. Neither of us have cable!

But apparently PBS does not require cable or satellite, so that's good for me!
