...the ace discourse on tumblr is terrible, the ace community is homophobic, and it's exhausting and disgusting.

Post your own dead horse that's already been beaten to the point of disintegration! Grab the sweet catharsis of yelling into the void.

Trigger =/= squick. Using the former when you mean the latter makes it harder for those of us with actual psychiatrist-diagnosed PTSD to be taken seriously.

On a related subject, no, you did not just have a literal panic attack because the wrong Winchester took it up the butt.

To add to your topic, the ace discourse on tumblr a couple years ago got me to identify as ace because I related to so many of the posts about what it's like to be ace. Until I realized those posts were really just about what it's like to not be dependent on sex like it's a drug.

But to make it worse, someone I know IRL and also follow on tumblr, who is ace and whose tumblr I saw many of those posts through, went on a rant IRL about how sick she was of everyone identifying as ace now just because they didn't like sex that much. And how they all want to be special snowflakes for being exactly the way girls are expected to be (as in, "not liking sex that much").

Well my dude, maybe instead of assuming it's because we wanted to be special snowflakes, you should stop posting things that make it sound like that's what being ace means.
