I once saw a pay-what-you-want sale on an indie game bundle, minimum of one cent, all proceeds directed to charity. Someone pirated the bundle so folks wouldn't have to pay one measly cent.

To play devil's advocate, some people from less-developed countries (and even people in well-developed ones) have no way to pay anything online, even if they do have the funds and would be willing to pay even more.

It's not a matter of not wanting to or being too poor, it's a matter of not having a debit card or credit card or paypal account and there being no other way to pay.

+1, when I was living in my parents' country, I couldn't use any of the regular payment methods because of US sanctions. Now I buy things.

1. You can get a friend with Paypal to buy it for you.
2. You can go without buying the game, because it's a game and not a necessity like food or water.

I believe it. People are fucking pathetic. I'm a $1 donor to most Humble Bundles (I'll pay more if money goes to Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontiers) and I get a good amount out of the deal. Why steal from charity? Fucking humans...
