I've always been intrigued by the concept, but I've rarely found a fic with mpreg in that really works for me. I know, I know, that means I should write my own, but..!

I think part of the "problem" is that I like both the impregnation and actual caring-for-baby aspects, and you usually only get one or the other in fics. Another point against me is I tend to only like fics where the pregnancy is true to the pregnant character's personality. (Like if they're a grumpy gus in canon, they're going to be grumpy when pregnant, and likely a gruff parent, not suddenly go all kittens and rainbows).

So, I'll just keep trying. Maybe one day I'll find a trove of mpreg just waiting for me!

I agree with this. I'm also really picky about how mpreg is explained in fanfic and I don't read a lot of fics that meet my standard so I tend to not go out of my way to find fanfic.
