I have a few games that I love but only watched playthroughs for but that's mostly because I simply can't get them/play them (not the right console, no affordable localisation or I can't play them because they give me intense motion sickness). But if they were cheap on steam, I would buy (and in fact have bought) them. With indie titles, especially those that mean a lot to you, there's really no excuse considering how cheap they are.
