Does he have a favorite candy? If you enjoys certain candies/desserts, buy a few bars and stick them in a nice basket.

My dad loves scratch off lottery tickets so my mom buys that for him at every occasion.

Does he enjoy sports? Find some team themed items (scarves/hats/sweatshirts/t shirts, depending on your budget)
