I had an excellent teacher, who in class made us search for the answers ourselves for the questions she didn't know the answer to (or pretended she didn't, since she was basically a walking, breathing search engine who knew everything about everything).

So maybe you can make a teachable moment for situations you feel you don't know the answers to their questions?
