I wish I'd seen this secret back in the day. If only to ask OP about any sites for any recipes for things that I can modify into cute food art myself.

But it kind of depends on how far you want to go with it. People often get waaaay into bento and end up spending a lot of money on cute boxes, accessories, things like that. You don't have to do that, of course. A $3 tupperware container is enough to get started and most big box stores have various lunchboxes and insulated boxes that are, IMO, better suited to bento anyway.
