Not to mention, artists generally don't get paid for having good ideas. They're paid for the long and grueling process of developing the best %1 of the many ideas in their massive notebooks and sketchbooks for the audience. Having good ideas doesn't make much of a difference if you can't deliver on them. It's great that the Wachowski sisters are fluent in religious philosophy and queer theory. But damn do they need an editor when it comes to bringing that to the screen.
EDIT: They're much better at expressing the queer theory than the religious philosophy.
