I've seen a lot of Poe and Kylo knew each other before Kylo's turn (and were possibly lovers) but I actually like it better when they don't know each other. I like the idea that Poe is probably more what Leia would want in a son (or Kylo would think that). And I like Poe having to reevaluate what to do with Kylo since killing him would hurt Leia, someone he admires.

My favorite Kylo/Poe fic is one that's post-TFA and Poe doesn't recognize Kylo without his helmet and thinks he's a refugee from the Hosnian system so he's super nice to him. I also like the AUs where Poe is a First Order pilot. I haven't read any Finn/Poe but there is a nice variety of the Kylo/Poe fic out there.
