Text: I've developed a crush on a Youtuber who's married with a family.

Normally in situations like this, I imagine characters the actor plays whenever I daydream about them (infidelity being a squick of mine.) In this case, however, there are no characters, and the "internet persona" argument only goes so far, especially since he talks a lot about his real life, and it's those real life elements that make me like him so much.

As a result, I feel guilty whenever I try to imagine doing anything other than briefly meeting him at a convention. It just feels inappropriate in a way that my other actor crushes don't.

Any advice, FS?

(Damn if he isn't fun to watch, though. He pushes all the right buttons, including a few I didn't even know I had.)

You might be right, but I think that's just how things go? Recently I feel I just drifted apart with a lot of friends cause the moved into a different life phase. And yeah, it hurts. And yeah, it feels like betrayal if you see them on Facebook with someone else and you wonder: "wasn't I a good enough friend?"

But, I think people tend to gravitate towards people who have a lot in common with them, partly just for practicality's sake often. I wish it wasn't that way, but it's a very common phenomenon.

That art is very cute. I've seen some Clint/Bucky, but yeah, it's a rarepair. I just find it weird your friend's just rigid to the point of not discussing it?

I can get why, but then I think it's also a pity because it sort of maintains the illusion fanfic is a girl thing, and yeah, while they're certainly a majority, I met some guy writers over the years (whose pen names were ambiguous), so I know it's not reality.

It's a frustrating show. My roommate has started actually honest-to-god watching it and I want to like it but just like... Jesus.

Troian Bellisario is really pretty but she's not pretty enough for me to stay through all that.

I never liked his character much either. I find it hard to root for stick-in-the-mud characters who never develop beyond that and never really attempt to.

It's a good program for Caribbean scenery porn though, isn't it?
