Look, it's fine for you to say "the other side is made up of horrible, horrible people" but it's reductionism at its worst and everyone does it. They literally just decide the other side is horrible bc "they hate gays/women/progress" or "they support killing babies" or whatever you believe. You put it the way that makes your opponents (who believe differently) in the worst possible way. You've decided that everyone is divided into two categories of politics (or is some weirdo in a third party etc)., and they are "good" or "evil." It ignores the fact that people are complicated, we're more insulting people than actually discussing beliefs when we do that...and NOTHING CHANGES. Because to the Dems the Republicats are evil warmongers who hate teh gays, and to Reps the Demogratz are evil babykillers who want to destroy the economy.
