I agree but I also feel like it's nice, in and of itself, to get away from the weight of gender expectations and all that heavy-ass bullshit

Seconded. As much as I love being a woman, I always use an ambigious name on the Internet. It's such a relief online to have real discussions and not to deal with all the bullshit that comes with being a woman IRL.

And then you have people who assume your gender out of nowhere to the point where they insist on it.
