There are very few headcanons that I have an instant no reaction to, but this is definitely one of them. Elrond loved all his children, not just his daughter. He also loved his wife and the rest of his family.

Plus, of any character in Tolkien, Elrond deserves some happiness. He deserves the reunion with everyone else in Valinor, even if it is dampened by not having his daughter with him.

That said, feel free to keep believing this if you want. Nothing wrong with that. Just not something I personally find appealing at all.

I agree. Most headcanons, even if I disagree, don't bug me. I had a strong, visceral nope to this one.
