If you had to pick one issue and only one issue as the basis for all your voting decisions forever more, what would it be?

If I had to think about what feels like the biggest and most important issue, probably environmentalism (which includes things like nuclear weapons and such). If we can't keep our planet in a "life sustaining" status we're all fucked forever.

Prioritizing the overhaul of the public education system, including state colleges/universities, to ensure that all young people in every part of the country and from every SES have the opportunity to receive a solid education at no cost.

I would always choose a candidate who is in favor of the preservation of human civilization over one who is not, regardless of their stances on other issues. So given the way the question is phrased, I think that has to be my answer.
