I'd argue that, actually. For the record, I think Trump's a contemptible little thug who ought to be behind bars, not embarrassing our nation by running for its highest office. But a lot of his supporters are less privileged and sheltered than you might think. Instead, their experiences of the hurt and deprivation they've suffered are what's driving them to support someone they think will actually address those issues rather than pay lip service. Mind you, they're wrong, and they're wrong for embarrassingly stupid reasons, but that's where they're coming from.

That's not to say he doesn't have a LOT of extremely sheltered supporters, but there are other reasons some people are supporting him.
