I got to spend some time with my horse, Sharif. He's been visibly depressed ever since his best buddy got moved to another stable, so I spoiled him a bit with extra horse cookies. It was too hot to ride, so I just hosed him down, fly-sprayed him and put sunscreen on his nose (he's prone to sunburn). He didn't like it at all, but he behaved himself like the perfect little princess he is and no doubt felt better afterwards. So, yeah. Seeing him was a bright spot in an otherwise dreary day.
