Hahaha, well, that's you. And I didn't get that at all. I SAW that ending. I saw no deep gazing into each others eyes and then like, since that ending was like...what, 10 seconds long? Yeah, no, not long enough to get shit from that. And this is coming from someone who very low-key shipped them prior to that ending. But that ending, the fact that creators had to come out and say that yes, they were a thing, and then the fandom reaction, killed that for me.

I hate that pairing.

I agree with you in hating the pairing, but mostly because there was no build up and if there was, they were clearly acting in a friendly manner. Also kinda funny it happened after Bryke both said that Korra and Mako were meant for each other and then deciding to not bother with romantic subplots. But never listen to the fans, they don't know what they want and you will never please them all.

This. This is why I just look at the whole romance thing in LoK and just do the dead pan stare. They fucking sucked, no matter what became canon and what was sunk.

Hell, I shipped Korrasami and didn't pick up that the ending was supposed to be romantic until I read Bryan's post on Tumblr.
