Milk is always chilled unless it is UHT in Europe. That is EU law, so you are talking bullshit there. Plus milk does go off real quick if not kept refrigerated. Eggs and fruit & vegetables do not need to be refrigerated, although fruit & vegetables can decline in quality quickly if you live in very hot climates. In most northern European homes that will only be an issue for a small portion of the year though. Most of the year they will keep several days in a cupboard.

Eggs will keep for several weeks even at quite warm temperatures, and by their very nature are supposed to keep the contents unspoiled at relatively hot temperatures (hint: it is quite hot under a hen's arse and that yolk has to last unspoiled until the chick hatches) for two or more weeks. If you are refrigerating eggs then you are just wasting electricity.

Either you are the one who's bullshitting, my country doesn't give shit about EU laws, or UHT milk si not as popular in your country as it is in mine, then, because in mine there are walls of non-refrigerated milk.

UHT milk by definition isn't "so fresh it doesn't need to be refrigerated." It was fresh -- and then it was heat sterilised so it can be left on a shelf indefinitely. So you're either full of shit or dumb as shit.
