Because they're girls.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Seme/uke is primarily consumed by straight women. I think it's pretty obvious what I mean.

8.7/10 my trolltacular friend, and I'm sure you'll get some delicious bites, but for real though, it was surprisingly common for the actual gay men into BL to complain about the people complaining about seme/uke tropes because "some gay men don't switch" and "acting like all ~real gay men~ switch is problematic/stereotypically hetero/just for delusional girl."

After years of complaining about girls being stereotypical, bigoted heteros for "inventing" those tropes in the first place.

Because fuck bitches, amirite. I mean, come on.

It's weird that this is never considered by "the people" demanding more switching in fic because this is exactly what the people demanding more switching in fic ask for all the time and everything you've written describes like... 80% of the switching fic I've ever read. Half involves the couple itself switching and the other half involves OT3+ and whatnot topping for some, bottoming for others. I literally just finished reading a fic where Ocelot always tops Kaz and always bottoms for Big Boss but switches with Venom.

I can link you the author so that you can tell them to stop ignoring how switching works differently for different people though I guess.

So, like, I respect your wish but don't toss any coins into the water over it or anything. If you do, wish that we don't all die in a Zika virus pandemic or something else that isn't totally made up.

Sorry, I had replied to the wrong thread before.

That describes 80% of the switching fic I've ever read too, but the people IME that complain that there's too much of non-switching almost always mean switching off during the fic within the same pairing. As in sex encounter 1, Ocelot tops, sex encounter 2, Big Boss tops. I love OT3 fic, but it's numerically the vast minority in most fandoms.

Besides, I can have more than one wish at once! Zika is a little higher in priority over fanfiction ofc. :)

My wish is that everyone took my well-intentioned smarm as cheerfully as you, anon.
