Motherhood is a lifestyle choice. A job is something pays for the upkeep of that lifestyle. STFU.

Eh. Technically it's true. You can choose to be a mother or not. You can also choose to not have a job but that comes with no food, shelter, and an earlier death.

Exactly, if you cannot afford kids then make sure you can afford condoms and don't have them. Not like the human race is in any danger of going extinct if you don't have kids. At the moment choosing to be a parent is a lifestyle choice and one that the onus is on BOTH parents to be able to afford rather than any praiseworthy duty. I hope it never becomes a duty, because if it is then it means we are well and truly screwed and have gone through some massive depopulation event like nuclear war or pandemic on a previously unheard of scale.

You're not wrong. Poor mothers have always had to work, besides. Having a husband with sufficient income that the wife could concentrate solely on domestic duties was beyond all but the wealthiest classes for a very, very long time.

Though to be fair, in a lot of countries with decent social security nets, you can kind of opt out of working and not starve or freeze, either. You're just poor forever.

nayrt but that is truth. A job is something that pays, by definition.
